Welcome to My Updated Site!

Attention all 84-93 Dodge Daytona and Chrysler Laser Owners!

My book chronicling the history and development of the 1984-1993 Dodge Daytona and Chrysler Laser has finally been published, and is now available for purchase.

Dodge Daytona and Chrysler Laser
The Definitive History
1984-1993

My purpose for MoparAutos.com was to provide a place for information on some Chrysler automobiles that I like, but I believe have been forgotten by most people outside of Mopar circles. Many people may still remember the Daytona, but what about the Laser? Mention the Dodge Magnum, and people only think of the station wagon currently being built. Mention Charger, and most folks will only remember the General Lee. And bring up Mirada, and all you will get is a blank stare.

So I tried to accumulate as much information as I could about a few Mopars that I personally like, and wanted to showcase. Yes, I also like Cudas, Roadrunners, and Vipers, but those cars always get the spotlight. I also thought the Cordoba was a nice car, but mention that to most people, and they will probably laugh at you. I did try to give credit to all of the folks that I got my information from on the acknowledgements page. I did my best to make sure that the information is as accurate as possible, but as anyone in the car hobby knows, sometimes numbers can be fluid, and will change depending on who is stating them. If you think you see an error, please let me know. And if you have a Mopar related website, and would like to exchange links, just give me buzz.

So have a look around. Send me a message if you like. And if you have any additional information about any of the vehicles showcased here, by all means, let me know. As you wander around, you will see that I have information tables scattered all over the place. Some of the cells are filled with only question marks. If you can help me replace those question marks, I will be most grateful.

Mopar Car shows in Michigan

Since I live in Michigan, I wanted to provide you with a listing of some Mopar car shows coming in 2006 in the state of Michigan. If I have been to these shows in past years, I tried to give you my assessment of the show. Of course, these shows can change and/or improve from year to year, so you don't have to take my word for it. Hope to see you there!

Mopars at Seven Lakes State Park - June 4, 2006 at the Seven Lakes State Park in Holly, Michigan. Not a bad show, but kind of small. The park is gorgeous, and there is even a lake there for swimming. Needs more cars to attend to make this a great show. Sadly, their website is still showing 2005 information. Email

Mopar car show at the Walter P Chrysler Museum - June 11, 2005 in Auburn Hills, Michigan. If this is the same show that I have attended at the museum in previous years, then it is pretty good. One great benefit is that admission to the museum is free during the show.

Mopars at the Red Barns - July 22, 2006 at the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, Michigan. I LOVE this Mopar show. Tons of great cars, awesome setting, beautiful grounds, and admission to all of the museum barns is free during the event. Lots of the pictures of Cordobas, Miradas, and Daytonas that are on this site came from this show in 2005.

All Mopar show at Friendly Chrysler - July 23, 2006 at the Friendly Chrysler dealership in Lapeer, MI. I think that I may have been to this show last year, but I am not quite sure, so I will hold off on the opinions. This show is put on by the same people putting on the Seven Lakes car show - Mid-Michigan Mopars.

Mopar Car shows in Michigan

These car shows are not Mopar exclusive, however, they are car shows that I enjoy, and try not to miss each year.

Oldsmobile Homecoming - June 17, 2006 at the State of Michigan General Office Building parking lot, corner of Canal and Billwood roads, Lansing, Michigan. If you love Oldsmobiles, cannot miss this car show. Huge assortment of all things Oldsmobile, including my favorites - the 442's and Hurst/Olds.

Camaro Superfest - June 30 thru July 2, 2006 at Riverside Park in Ypsilanti, Michigan. All things Camaro. Along with being a Mopar fan, I am also a huge Camaro fan. I have been entering my Camaro into this show for years. Major fun!

Coldwater, Michigan car show at the 4H Fairgrounds. May 13-14, 2006. This is a huge all-make car show. It includes auto parts vendors, and for that significant other that is bored with cars - arts and crafts booths.

Frankenmuth Auto Fest - September 8-10 at Heritage Park in Frankenmuth, MI. This show is BIG, BIG, BIG. The cars just seem to go on forever. Make sure you wear a comfortable pair of shoes. I love this show, tons of cars. If you only go to one show every year, this is the one.
